Question / Help VAC safe?

I've finally decided to cave and try out OBS now that the majority of the streamers I know have been switching to it, but I had one quick question first:

Is OBS VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) safe?

I've used many hooked process streaming programs in the past, but they were all commercial and very well known.

If you can vouch for streaming with it and having no false bans issued for the hooked process while streaming Steam games like CS, tf2, etc I'd love to hear it.

Thanks.

I have never heard anyone getting banned for streaming vac protected games with OBS. I personally have been streaming tf2 and CSGO without any problems :p

So don't worry. I'm sure VAC developers know about OBS for sure.

Good to hear, do you use the hooked game capture?

Yep i use that for every game i play :p OBS is pretty well known and i know some anti-cheat softwares have even made exceptions for allowing OBS to hook the game. So you shouldn't worry about it :p

VAC has always been fine as far as I know. Valve typically is really good about that sort of stuff.
