Question / Help v4l2sink works, but not with Skype :(

Hi everyone,

I'm running skypeforlinux package on Archlinux (I have also tried skypeforlinux-preview package with the same result). As for teaching bass guitar online, I setup OBS with several scenes. I installed v4l2loopback and v4l2sink plugin to use OBS as a virtual camera for Skype webcam settings.

Everything works very well starting the virtual cam. I tested with VLC, it viewed the virtual cam perfectly. However, when I logged in Skype and set to the virtual cam, a black blank screen in the webcam area. I have tried Skype on the web, the same thing.

I wonder if there's anyone has the same issue that I'm facing. I have done researches, many of similar questions with no answers unfortunately.

Did you read this snippet in the README of v4l2sink concerning the v4l2loopback kernel module?

If using Chrome or Chromium you must use the option exclusive_caps=1.

Yes, of course, I used this whenever I want to use web-based app. But it doesn't work.
