Question / Help Using Two Separate PCs?

Hi all,

I have searched far and wide and cannot seem to get a good answer from what I'm looking to do.

I watched a stream where the broadcaster was playing a game in her office and then was like "let's go make a smoothie." The view on stream then changed to what I am assuming was her laptop in the kitchen and then she was making a smoothie while still being able to interact with chat and have the stream going as normal.

I want to do something similar where I take breaks during gaming to cook lunch or something (I'm a chef, after all) and would like to know the best way to set this up in my home. My main PC is in my office, and my kitchen is probably 25ish feet away (i'm a poor judge of distance and am not home at the moment to measure this).

Any help or direction would be most definitely appreciated.

IP camera most likely, and just capturing its videostream. Take a look at Foscams, they're one of the cheaper options.

Alternately, a really long HDMI cable between an HDMI-outputting camera, and a capture card in the PC.

There are no built-in options currently for remote-nodes in software/over the network.

Thank you so much! I will definitely look into this!

If you use skype you could call yourself with 2 different accounts and activate webcam and capture it from your main pc . If you doesnt want to buy an ip cam
