I am having issues with audio echo. I do not know how to remedy it. In the Advanced Audio Properties window I can select from Monitor off, Monitor Only and Monitor and Output. Is there no option for Output Only?
I have tried using different input and output devices. If I use the laptop's built-in mic it picks up the hum from the A/C, the external HD and some other hum I can't identify. So, I'm set to my headset that has a built-in mic. For the output, I tried using the built-in speakers, but the echo didn't go away. This was with both input settings. I tried using the headphones for output. Same thing. No matter what I do I can't get rid of the echo. Sometimes it's not a full-on echo, but more like a strong reverberation.
