Using Surface Pro screen as virtual camera for OBS on desktop?

Hi all!

I've run into the common issue of my Surface Pro holding up fine for a while when using OBS, but then basically melting. I've tried the tips for streaming on the Surface in the other threads (thanks for the great guides!) but it just doesn't have the muscle to do what I'd like.

Is it possible to use the Surface's screen as a camera for OBS on my desktop PC instead? I draw on a graphics program on the Surface, I'd like to have that as a feed into OBS on my desktop, then chroma key myself onto that. What's the best way to share the screen from a Surface to become a camera input for my PC?

I'm looking up options, but there's lots of very pro capture cards etc, I imagine there must be a cheaper way to do it with a cable.

Thanks for all the great advice? I've been using this forum as a guest for a while, first time I've been driven to create an account and ask :D
