Using OBS without streaming still lagged

I used OBS to capture Nintendo Switch
not streaming but still had a 10-30 second lag, almost a static graphic or slides

I thought it might be some problems of my devices
Please have a check of them, thanks!

The new M1 and M2 chips don't work very well with the signed Intel build of OBS. You need to try one of the beta ARM builds. Like 28.

I also have a macbook. I have tried streaming but the quality is so unbareably choppy and out of sync. I don't think OBS works well on macbooks.
