Question / Help using OBS with Epic Pen

Hello

I'm not sure how to use the search function on this forum so apologies if this has been asked befiore.
I'm trying - and failing so far - to use OBS with Epic Pen, a program that allows you to make handwritten annotations on the screen of your computer: http://sourceforge.net/projects/epicpen/

So far I have tried to add itto the sources as a game, but the annotations are not recorded - they don't even appear in the streaming test.

Has anyone managed to make this thing work?

As far as i can see it a overlay program to "draw on your desktop" , It worked for me with desktop capture but on win7 it's not a good idea to do so (low fps.).
As far as i know any overlay program can cause problems with obs.

You could try using Monitor capture (and make sure Aero is disabled if using Windows 7).

Thanks for the replies. I did use monitor capture and it worked. The colours are a bit odd though, much lighter than the "original", but I guess that's another problem.
