Hi there,

Is it possible to use my webcam, through OBS, to stream onto a projector screen? I'm shooting a kitchen food battle and those outside of the kitchen will need footage. I would also like to use 2 webcams if possible on the same source. Please let me know if OBS can do this! Other suggestions for other software is also appreciated if OBS can't. Thank you guys so much!

Its possible. You can to set up the fullscreen preview on the projector, thats it. But for that you have to connect the projector to the same system that is capturing the footage.
Otherwise stream to a second system in your local network (use the nginx guide here) and just play it back with VLC (will give you some delay, at least 5-8sec).

Ok, so the set-up is as follows:

Hook webcam into laptop --> Hook projector via hdmi into laptop --> Use OBS by doing the "preview screen" button

Is that how it would look? And thank you so much for your help cryonic!

Yep. Hook all your stuff that you need into your laptop, set your projector as a second monitor, manage your scene etc on your laptop screen and when everything looks good - just move OBS to the second screen and rightclick the preview window > hit "Fullscreen Preview Window".

You can do that with other Software too, but OBS would allow you to use an overlay, text and anything else to make it not look just like a webcam preview.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the help!
you can also use projector mode that way the second display (projector) only sees the footage that you display from OBS when you hit preview instead of the full OBS window. right click on the preview and you'll see it. you cannot project to a monitor that if OBS is on that window so make sure you extend the projector then have OBS on the main monitor of the laptop. once you do that, you should be able to select projector mode on the second display.
