Question / Help Using OBS Studio With Roland VR-4HD

Hey Guys:

I was having an issue with using my Roland VR-4HD. I just picked up one from eBay and it's great on its own. Once any of the (4) HDMI outputs are used via my TV Screen Output are used on the unit they work in real time.

Once I hook it up to my computer, (via USB) and open OBS Studio, all of the feed from the unit has a noticeable latency. I recently purchased a Elgato HD60S+ and I've demoed this same setup with no latency at all.

Has anyone ever had an issue with latency coming from this unit (or a similar one) going into OBS Studio? I wonder if there is an output setting I haven't correctly set.

(I'm running OBS on a iMac Pro on High Sierra)

Would love any help with the matter!

Many thanks,

Erick

After some more research--

When I went into my settings for the VideoCaptureCard it seems as the Frame rate is 29.97 for the Roland Switcher. I am now struggling to find if that can be altered somehow. There are no other options to increase the frame rate in that dropdown menu

True, Roland VR-4HD comes in at USB: 1080p 25/29.97 720p 25/29.97 Why would you need to change that? The video and audio incoming should be in sync. Is it an additional mic input from OBS that is making it out of sync?

I am currently working with Focusrite on my Scarlett 18i20 which has drivers that create latency with OBS.
