Question / Help Using OBS for local recording, editing software issues.

Hello, I am completely new to this and have a very basic understanding of what to do. I'm using OBS to locally recording video games (MMOs) to upload videos onto Youtube only. I am having problems when importing my media files into Cyberlink Powerdirector 11, I get TV format error stating my file is 333 fps whereas Cyberlink only allows for 30 fps and subsequently reduces my video quality. I also followed R1CH's guide to local recording and I'm using those settings. Also everything is running fine with OBS, as I watch my clips on a media player and the quality is great.

I was wondering why OBS is putting out 333 fps for my clips, and also if anyone has a solution to my editing software problems and if it is related to an OBS issue or a setting issue over on Cyberlink? I'm new to the AVC264 format, I have a feeling that is messing me up. To add to that, I have AVS Video Editor and Sony Vegas 11 that I can use. (Also having intense stuttering issues with imported videos on Vegas as well).

If anyone can sort me out that would be much appreciated. As you can assume I'm a complete rookie, while I'm making this post can someone lead me in the right direction on supplementary info/guides on quality recording in any of the three editing software I mentioned? Thanks and regards.

In my experience most video editing software wants a file with a constant frame rate. In OBS go to Settings > Advanced and check the "Use CFR" box, then generate a new video and see if your Cyberlink software will accept it.

The FPS is actually a misinterpretation by the editing applications when using variable framerate encoding (which is currently default in 0.554 and below). This is fixed by turning on constant framerate encoding ("Use CFR" in advanced, which will now be default to enabled in 0.56+). Also, make sure to use AAC for audio.
