Using OBS for Livestream

I've been wondering how I can use OBS for Livestream. I found a few topics here, but It didn't really help. I've tried whatever they suggested, but didn't work. I would continue to use their Procaster, but it's a bit buggy for me.

I followed this format for the server:
rtmp://publish.livestream.com/mogulus/[your_channel]/username=[username]/password=[password]/isAutoLive=[true|false]

But it didn't work. If help is possible, that would be great.

You're using the old plattform?

The new one doesn't work with RTMP.

OBS does work fine with the old one.

The URL for my old channel would have to look like this for example.

rtmp://publish.livestream.com/mogulus/acesgamingchannel/username=MYLOGINNAME/password=MYPASSWORD/isAutoLive=true

Also note that you can't use more than 500 kbps audio and video bitrate combined.
(If you use 128 kbits AAC you have 372 kbits left for video.)

So are you saying I should use the old format or the new one? And also, is there anything in particular that I should put in the playpath/stream key box?

If you want to use OBS you have to use the old one.
The new one isn't compatible with RTMP (OBS uses RTMP for pushing the stream to the server.)

You don't have to put anything in the playpath/stream key box with that url.

Good tip with the 500kbps limit.
But now I have got an other issue. The connection to the livestream.com server is no problem. On my livestrem.com channel it seems that my stream is online. But the only thing I see a blck screen an without sond.

Any idea?
