Question / Help Using Mumble/Teamspeak with A Console Stream

So I know I can put a delay on my mic but it is possible to delay the sound coming from my desktop? Like if I was playing on my Xbox One but in Mumble on my PC? Or do I need a mixer to do this?

Because I need to be delaying my own mic by 1.5 seconds to have it be in line with the video source from Elgato Cap Card, I guess I want to also see if I can delay audio from my desktop as well.

I know some big streamers use Mumble/Teamspeak while they are on their consoles. But I'm not sure if I can accomplish this without using a mixer.

mic sync offset in the audio tab of OBS. make sure you do not have force desktop audio to use video timestamps or mic qpc timestamps enabled as this will just throw off your offset. 1.5 seconds is 1500ms btw. you'll need ot increase your scene buffering time to 1500 I believe.

So yeah, I use 1500 in Mic Sync Offset. I use that when I stream on Xbox so that way my audio is in line with the game capture from Elgato. But does that also offset my desktop audio? Like audio from Mumble, music, etc.?

No, that offset is under the advanced tab of OBS. global audio offset under scene buffering.

So I can use "force desktop audio to use video timestamps..." and global audio sync offset by 1500? Would I then need to update my game capture offset? Or not, since it's already at 1500 delay?

So basically my three sources of audio would be:

-1500 delay from Elgato cap card (I'm outputting audio to stream only)
-My mic
-Desktop audio

If I use "Force desktop audio to use video timestamps as a base for audio time" and global audio sync offset at 1500 will that offset both my mic and desktop audio? Or just the desktop audio? And if so, would I need to delay my mic as well?

yeah DO NOT use those options. re-read what I wrote.

Well the global audio sync worked, but now the video is not synced with the game audio. How do I get the video synced again? I tried using a custom resolution and increased the buffering. My mic and Mumble appeared to be in line with the video, but the game audio is now 1500 behind.

El Gato delay - 0
Your mic delay - 1500
under Advanced tab: Make sure Scene Buffering is 1500, then go towards the bottom and make global offset 1500 as well.

I think those are the settings I use to make it work (not available to check atm).
If that doesn't work, try 0 mic delay and -1500 El Gato capture.
