Bug Report Using multiple webcams with the same device name

Hi,

I have more than 1 web cam with the same device name, and it seems like OBS isn't able to distinguish between them and thus when I go to add the web cam source I only get the option to add one of them. Wasn't able to find anything about this anywhere, is this a known issue? Is there any way to get around this? I wasn't able to rename the devices, I think the names are coming from some device driver some where.

Yea, this is a bug I'm going to fix in the next patch.

Thanks for pointing that out. No one ever got back to me whether it was working or not so it was basically untested. Glad to know that it worked fine.

Holy crap necro lol, I actually wondered before if this was possible. Good to see it was fixed!

I am having issues with not being able to use two webcams with the same device name. I can however use two webcams at the same time which have different device names.
