Using multiple IP cameras with OBS

Hi folks. I am an extremely new newbie. Just downloaded the software today. I have have a band and we are wanting to stream our practice sessions and/or shows at our studio. I have 7 IP cameras. I have been able to select a camera by using the browser option and connecting to the web interface of the camera. But I would like to be able to choose the cameras as a video capture device. All 7 cameras are connected to a POE switch, which is then connected to our swith/modem to our computer. Can this be done? Or do I have to use the browser option for all 7 cameras?

Depends on what these IP cameras are capable of?
For example, are these NDI cameras (would need NDI plug-in)? The issue is what streaming protocols does the camera support, and does it match up with OBS, or would you need something in between? or ? sorry... it depends
Provide more details on the cameras and hopefully someone will be able to help

Thanks. I will get the specs from the box tomorrow. Although, I am not familiar with what NDI means. Can you explain?
