Question / Help Using microphone, maybe camera for multi-stream

A way to go around without having to pay for restream, is to open more than one window from OBS and set each one up it up to broadcast in different platform.

A while ago I used to do it but the camera was limited to just one stream.

So I just did a triple broadcast at once by opening 3 OBS windows and just broadcasting a picture and sound.

Questions:

1. Can I use an external microphone to broadcast on all 3 (or more) platforms?
2. Can I use external camera now? I haven't tried that after the update from my very old OBS version.
3. How can I make sure the stream doesn't cut off? Do I need to re-check each setting for each stream?

I just did Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube at once by opening 3 OBS windows, but some of the streams were cutting off from time to time, and my audio wasn't the greatest and that is why I might need a mic to lower background noise.

Simulcasting to facebook and any other service is a violation of facebook's terms of use for their live streaming service.

Restream really shouldn't be advertising facebook live simulcasting.

Also, restream is free for any service they have already added.

Also, if you happen to be a Twitch affiliate (you didnt mention Twitch, but i'd figure id mention it), the affiliate agreement (and i assume the partner agreement as well) prohibits multicasting live content to multiple services while also broadcasting to Twitch.

This info and Harold's comment may not be in direct relation to your question, but it is important to know when dealing with multicasting not just for you but others who may look at this thread.

Marcharborguy,

I am not a member of Twitch.

I am also dumping Facebook and moving into other social medias.. Facebook can delete my profile as far as I care.

And.... I figured out how to do what I wanted all while this forum answered nothing but instead went out to kiss Facebooks butt.
