Question / Help Using Elgato Video Capture to record Analog

First and foremost, thanks for reading this! I've been having issues with trying to get my Elgato Video Capture to work with OBS. Please note that this is not the HD or HD60 device that is most commonly used with OBS, otherwise I would have found my solution without issue.

SO!

I have set it as a Global Resource and made a new scene to add it in and have tried testing it but the red screen won't go away. It has no problem in it's own program though. I chose the analog instead of the HD because more of my consoles work with the analog than with the HD, and where I want to record some vintage titles along with new stuff, it's a better fit. But I just can't seem to get it to work.

It is picking up that something is trying to get through, but it just shows up red. I have turned the system on BEFORE previewing the stream, and same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do things work with the elgato-issue software?

Also, if you're talking about composite output from your consoles (yellow, red, white wires), the Elgato HD (not the 60) supports them. Connect the yellow wire on the composite to the red video wire on the elgato's component cable (If you don't get the special composite cable for it)

Yes. The issued software works just fine, it's just OBS I'm having problems with. I keep getting a red screen despit the fact that OBS's settings are picking up that something is trying to get through. and as much as I would ADORE being able to get the HD, I haven't the resources to buy it, I was barely able to afford the Video Capture from my freind for $35.

To get more specific, this is the device I do have: https://www.elgato.com/en/video/video-capture

The composite output is just fine, the wires are hooked up as they should be.

Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit OBS to do this testing?
Elgato hardware doesn't have a lot of 64-bit drivers out there.
