Question / Help Using D5200 Nikon as Capture Device

So guys, as title says it i wanna use my D5200 Nikon to capture video, the thing is OBS doesn't recognize it as a device but as a portable device (storage), OBS only recognize my C920 webcam, do you guys have any ideas on how can i make this work? Also, i use 2 monitors, would be very glad to capture it in way, because i want to also make a chroma key with it.

You need to get a HDMI capture card and hook up the HDMI out of the camera.

DSLRs aren't in general well-suited towards functioning as webcams over USB- is there a reason you want to use it specifically? Can you get live output from it in another application in Windows?

Edit: As R1CH says you can use the HDMI output, if you have the hardware for that.

@R1CH thank you very much, will look forward for that. But tell me, how exactly a Capture Card works and where else i could use it? I read somewhere it helps the CPU depending on what your doing

@bertieb, Will use it as a webcam with chromakey on the back for maximum definition, and yes i got it working through some programs like digiCamControl using only the usb cable that came with the camera, it looked like hacking!

I have HDMI on my motherboard, can i try that one input?
