Hi,
I am using an AverMedia Live Gamer HD as an HDMI capture device.
Unfortunately, while Reccentral can automatically switch the resolution depending on the input signal, OBS seems fixed on the resolutions in its lits and will not display a proper picture unless you set a custom resolution for the device.
I try to capture old games though, some of them run in 800x600 ingame, but have 640x480 menus, and the often used 512x384 is not supported at all through OBS.
Since always having the options open and changing resolution from the drop down menu mid-stream is not an option I would like to have different scenes where I set a windows that is fed by the same capture card, but the resolution is different for each scene (and the window scaled accordingly).
This does not work however. Is there a solution to this for OBS?
As I said, other streaming programs seem to work, but they do not have the options for scene design that OBS offers.
