Question / Help Using Canopus ADVC110

I have a MacBook pro, trying to use OBS with Canopus ADVC110 video capture.
The hardware does not appear on list of capture devices, is there something i missed in order to set it up? I also want to capture the audio from the same device but it doesn't appear as audio capture either

I am having this same issue on iMac, meeting with IT guy today to see if we can resolve it. Will update.

Make sure the device is connected before you start up your Mac. This also means you need to shutdown completely before connecting it.

That's fairly typical for firewire video devices that are getting older. I just happened to install a Formac Studio today that was dead, according to it's previous owner. It's working great. No drivers needed. And IIRC, the Camopus is in the same class (Firewire video compliant).
