Question / Help Using a Multichannel Audio Interface (Focusrite 18i8 or similar)

I read that OBS now is capable of using multiple audio channels. But it is no DAW. So I just don't really get it: What is the best way to get multiple audio sources into OBS?

In my case. I have 4 XLR microphones that I would like to connect to an USB interface (focusrite 18i8 or similar) and than have each of those microphones as individual audio-source within OBS. So that I can choose to use or not use them depending on the scene I am in.

Any suggestions how to do that?

OBS-ASIO is what you are looking for, it will give you greater control over the audio interface allowing you to add each microphone channel as a separate source.
