Question / Help Use of Chroma Key

I keep trying OBS Studio, but going back to OBS classic, because studio fails to deliver.

Can anyone help? I'm trying to key out my green backdrop for my webcam. In OBS it's simple, select chroma key, select colour... it works.

In studio, I've tried the default green, it doesn't remove all of my back drop, I've tried altering the sliders for similarity etc, and yes it gets rid of the screen, but also some of my forehead, and my top that I'm wearing.

I've also tried custom colour, and selecting as close as possible to my back drop, then following the above for similarity sliders.

I always get the same result... before my backdrop is completely transparent, some of my forehead and clothing disappears.

Tonight I'm wearing white and blue, I'm also light skinned, so no green anywhere about my person.

So you're using color key or chroma key filter?

Please keep in mind that OBS converts everything to RGB (by default) for the GPU to process and that the filters are applied after that conversion. That means (in theory) the Color Key filter is the better choice between Color and Chroma Key.

Also you can stack multiple keyers now (unlike Classic) to get a really clean key. Just have each key handle part of the range you need.
