Question / Help Use OBS to stream only

Hi All,


Just a quick question, can I stream to twitch using obs without it recording.


The reason I ask is, I would like to record my mic audio separate from the game play audio.


As far as I can tell, when I was testing my recording, my mic and my gameplay footage and audio was all saved to the same mp4 file. Which is fine, but I sometimes, I find my mic volume is too loud or quiet. So I normally like to adjust this when rendering my files out in sony vegas,


Any help would be cool.

record the mic audio separately using something like audacity.

OBS doesn't take exclusive control of the mic.

Take a look at the Multiplatform OBS rewrite. I believe it allows recording mic audio to a separate file, without including it in the gameplay recording, for later mastering.
