Question / Help "Use CBR" advanced checkbox

I hadn't updated OBS in a while, and I noticed that the newest version has a "Use CBR" checkbox. Does anyone know exactly what this does? Does it force rate control using --bitrate instead of --crf? If that's what it's doing, maybe I can try my --bitrate & --ratetol experiments :D.

It makes OBS use CBR instead of vbv, that's all.

VBV is still used in CBR mode.

Constant Bit Rate - I guess you would use this if you have crazy networking spikes. so i have heard crawling around this forum...
