Question / Help USB to HDMI Device Not Recognized

I will provide as much information and as many screen shots as I can to help you help me.

I bought a PS4. But cannot play it because of a display issue.
  • My monitor (Acer XB270H) is picky and does NOT have an hdmi port.
  • Adapters to DP do not work, both passive and active.
  • I decided to try turning the HDMI signal from the PS4 into a USB 3.0 signal
  • The device is an Insignia USB to HDMI Adapter NS-PU37H-BK.
  • The proper drivers are installed and the computer recognizes what it is.
  • OBS does not recognize this as any form of device.
  • I have tried both 32 and 64 bit OBS

Is there a way to force OBS to notice this usb device? Is there a plugin I am missing?

If you have any suggestions other than buying a new monitor or a TV, I am all ears.
I just want to finally use my new PS4 for a change and I figured spewing it through my PC might fix my adapter woes and as a bonus, maybe record something fun.

Thank you, I didn't know if it was considered an output device, I just figured it was both ways possibly.
I already have an ElGato 60PRO on the way and I have seen it generally works out fine.
