I've been struggling with an issue for a bit, let me explain my setup and what I'm trying to achieve.
I'm using OBS v0.613b to stream a game onto a twitch.tv channel. It's a co-op game so I'm playing it with a friend. My goal in all of this is to have the following show up on the stream:
Game Video
Game Audio
My Voice Audio
Friends Voice Audio (Via Skype)
I do know that this is doable if I just set the skype audio output to the PC Speakers OR I set the default audio device to be my headset. Basically the sound just needs to be on the same output channel. This setup makes it difficult for me to hear my friends voice audio over the game audio because I just use a simple but very good quality USB Mono speaker headset.
What I want is to be able to keep my friends voice on my mono headset's speaker, while the game audio stays on the PC speakers. Currently I'm unable to do that, I can have either my friends audio or the games but not both at once while keeping the output devices separate. Is there some way to accomplish this?
I've looked into VAC but could never get it to work. If anyone could offer a simple tutorial or explain things for me to accomplish this with that program I'd be all for giving it another shot, but when I was looking into it, it was just very confusing and never worked right for me. I've tried following this tutorial in the past but got nowhere (http://blog.hemp-society.de/2013/09/how-to-include-one-or-more-audio.html)
I've also checked the DirectShowAudio Plugin for OBS but it states that it can't do two different output sources, which is what I want to do.
I don't have a Realtek Soundcard, I've read that card in particular has some settings that can be played around with but I don't have this option.
Are there any other options? Any plans to add a second audio source into OBS? Any alternative to Skype that can do something like VOIP with outputting the sound to two audio outputs? Has anyone managed to get a setup like this up and working before?
