Question / Help *URGENT* Increasing Delay and Pixelation when viewing an IP-camera's RTSP stream

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing an increasing delay and pixelation when viewing an IP-camera's RTSP stream. I feel like I've tried everything...

The delay starts with 2-3 seconds and quite a smooth image, and within three hours gets to 30-40 seconds with constant pixelation.

I'm using a Foscam FI9828P v2 IP camera. When I the camera online, there are no such issues.

What should I do?

Thanks!

VLC doesn't seem as stable... It disconnects often it seems and doesn't reconnect automatically.

mh - u can set it to hotkey and let a programm "press" this hotkey every 30min
That could be a good temporary solution. Is there a way to map a hotkey for an OK button in the Media Source box? I can't figure it out.

Also, it seems like running things through VLC actually works better. VLC, however, stops playing if it has any issues. Hasn't happened in the past couple hours, but I want to be a fairly steady system.

name ur media-source - then restart obs - then set hotkey for "named media-source" (both - show and hide) -> then use any programm that presses the desired hotkey

You said it plays smoothly when you open it in a browser window directly?

This is not restarting the stream. It only restarts if I open the window and hit "OK", not by hiding and showing the source...
