So, it's not OBS lets make that clear. I would like to know/understand something.

I was supposed to do a 24 hour stream this past weekend and well I can't. Figured you guys would be knowledgeable about this.

Story time.

I uploaded a video to youtube stating that I will be going live for the 24 hour stream, so everyone knew about it. An hour later I start up OBS, get everything going. Everything seemed fine. "Start Streaming" was clicked. Bam! OBS connection turns from Green to Red, and I am Dropping frames at a large rate. "Insufficient Bandwidth/Internet Stalls". Stop the stream, check speed test. 67Mbps down 5.46MBps up. Well, it all seems fine. Start it again, same issue.

Change from 2000kb/s to 200kb/s Works just fine. Set it to 1000 dies. 500. dies. 200? Nah we good.

But speedtest.net shows different.

I tested an upload from Filezilla to my web server and I am only uploading 200kb/s.

Ping and tracert show fine. Actually there are 1 time outs for tracert

So that should be good yeah? Wrong. These are only testing small packets. This doesn't accommodate for larger upload hauls.

But look! Speedtest shows I am good!

I've talked to several tech persons who really don't know anything and they go by the spiel of did you try turning it off and on again? and we will send a tech out to check out your newly installed router and modem. But everything is fine according to your speedtest.net and our system.

Thanks. :)

Speedtests only measure for maximum speed using multiple connection while streaming requires stable speed with a single connection. See https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/dropped-frames-disconnecting-lag-read-this-first.8870/ and try the Twitch bandwidth test or OBS auto-config.

Already done it. I can do Auburn at 1876. Usually I run at 2500 with no issues. I have to turn it all the way down to 200 bitrate in order for it to be green 300+ it's red and dropping packets. Changed servers. I even tried YouTube. Same results.

I know the issue partly. It's not OBS, nor is it Twitch/YouTube. I feel there is something else wrong, but my ISP wont tell me, or doesn't know. Figured someone somewhere out there has ran into the same issue as me and could tell me exactly what it is.

Well to get little more help post a log where you are having the issues https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/please-post-a-log-with-your-issue-heres-how.23074/ and you could post screenshot with Twitch Bandwidth Tool, you need 80+ results, if you are getting 0's then something is wrong and need to contact ISP you could show them the results of test you do and see what they say. You also could try restarting your modem and retesting, but does sound like something is ISP
