My upload speed is registering at 20mbps however I keep dropping frames due to the kbp/s meter being inconsistent. Can someone help me out here. Called the ISP to confirm it wasn't them and it isnt.

General speed test results are not necessarily applicable to stream performance.

19:07:41.758: Output 'simple_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 544 (14.6%)

ISPs are quite often not completely accurate or honest when saying that a problem a customer is experiencing is not their fault.

The universal speedtests are accurate for http connections, since they usually test only port 80 or 443 (ssl), but that doesn't mean all other ports are equally non-throttled or prioritized.

Pls stop writing without reading
that tool makes the same OBS do and report your "quality" of connection
so its a 1:1 result how good or bad your stream work on that pipe and its a perfect tool to detect
bad isp routings and find a way to get less drops if it is related to routing problems
and if all say Bad quality its not a routing issue then its a basic upload to low problem

I think you may be the one who needs to read before writing.

"Universal speedtest" does not refer to TwitchTest, which people on this forum recommend all the time as an alternative to generic speed tests like speedtest.net. The author of that tool is on this forum. They quite often give advice similar to what koala wrote above.

Don't rule out that the Los Angeles data center may be having problems. Just because it may say there is no problems in entirety, the actual rack and server maybe experiencing problems. There is nothing you can do but wait it out or choose a different location.

Since you are connecting to Los Angeles, California, try San Jose, California or Phoenix, Arizona. These two data centers are less than 400 miles away from the LA data center.
