Question / Help Upgrading my pc - Stream

So after some time i finally have some goodies for myself and i'm gonna upgrade my pc.

My current specs are

Intel Core i5-2400 3,10ghz
Motherboard asustek p8h77-i
4GB DDR3 x2 = 8GB ddr3
Geforce GTX 770
----
My upgrade is gonna look like this

CPU - Intel Core i5-6500 Skylake
Ram - Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2133 DC - 16GB - So 8GBS kingston hyper ddr4
Motherboard - MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK
And the same graphics card.
NZXT tower case h440 white model with 4 corsair fans non default.

From what i've been able to find the i5-6500 performs 1-2% better than the i7-4770 model.

Is that a good upgrade. I must say i'm on a budget sitting at 559,19$.

Will it be better for streaming, because that's what i am most interested in.

there is no possible way that an 1 generation newer (i know i7 is not the i7 refresh but still) i5 outperforms an i7.

usually those 2-4% are only between last gen i7 and newest gen i7 (if even 2-4% mostly its less)

well i just want to know if i would be able to stream - Division - Far cry primal and tomb raider etc. Most new AAA games on the new spec? because i know for sure my old can't.

imho i think the i5 wont handle AAA titles + 720p60 the i7 is way better suited for this job.

but there is no 100% answer since the newer game releases make more use of multiple corsed which is nice for the game but gets in the way of streaming. but as a baseline a current gen or last gen i7 is always what you want for streaming + gaming
