Bug Report Upgraded to Win8, GameCapture no longer works

The thread title says it all.

I had OBS working great in Windows 7. After upgrading to Windows 8, GameCapture no longer works. Other elements of OBS work fine; I can do software captures, and audio and webcam feeds work fine, but GameCapture only produces a black screen. I only have 10 games installed at the moment, and I get the same black screen from each.

Log files show that OBS is successfully hooking into the game--it just never shows anything.

Please let me know what logs you need to see to assist me with this.

Yes, I know it has to be a problem on my end, but I can't imagine what it would be that I have not already tried. Tried most recent as well as older Nvidia drivers; disabled multiple monitors; disabled Steam overlay; made sure DirectX is up-to-date; tried older versions of OBS from SourceForge. Nothing works.

Any help would be appreciated.

I know that capture works fine on my windows 8 machine, and it works fine for everyone else I've asked who uses windows 8, so windows 8 itself is not the issue.

When we were talking in chat it seemed as though it was missing the signal, so I'm not entirely sure why that was occurring. My suspicion there's either a conflicting app or some sort of security thing going on that I'm not seeing. If you want to come around for some debugging again let me know and maybe I can pinpoint it further.

I went back to Windows 7; just spent the past 12 hours reinstalling and all that good stuff. Everything is fine again, except...

I am now using the latest beta, whereas before I was using the latest stable build. In the beta ("connection test 1"), I cannot have multiple profiles; the buttons to create new profiles are greyed out. Also, sometimes my webcam works, sometimes it doesn't. Once it starts working, it stays working, but I may have to stop and restart the stream a few times before it registers.

Using the stable release resolves both issues, so just some minor bugs that need to be ironed out I guess.
