Question / Help Upgraded GPU - Started dropping frames

Some months ago I was using OBS to stream games like League of Legends and whatnot, I had no issues with frames being dropped. Three weeks ago I switched from my incredibly bad/old graphics card (Radeon HD 4890) and upgraded to a Geforce 660.

After I installed the card and tried to stream, I realized I was dropping frames. I tried fiddling around with options, even though I never had a problem before with an older card. Nothing really worked. I ended up formatting my PC, installing everything from scratch - the problem persists.

I went in to my brothers room and asked him to stream with his computer for a couple of minutes to see if he was dropping frames - he didn't.

I have an incredibly bad system, the only thing that is "relatively" new is the graphics card. But the fact remains, I never had a problem before, with an even worse gfx card.

I don't know if this helps.. But I'm starting to think that it's a hardware problem? When I listen to music now, while streaming, I even hear the music "glitching" out while I'm dropping frames.

Never had a problem before with worse gear - I upgraded - Now I have a problem. I checked to see if the internet is having problems, but my brother who's using the same net isn't dropping frames.

Anyways! Thanks for your time if you're reading this. :)

I think this means that there is a issue with your network-connection.
Given the situation perhaps you can try to swap your network cable for an other one to see if that fixes it.

I already went through the troubleshoot sticky before posting this, and it doesn't really apply to my problem, here's why:

My brother have done multiple streaming tests today and yesterday (I'll link his log below), without dropping a single frame. So I switched my network cable to a new one, put it into my brothers switch (that he's using) - the problem remained, still dropping frames on my computer. I tried updating my network drivers - problem remains.

Another thing that's happening while I'm dropping frames, is that I can literally hear my music starting to "crackle" and lag while playing. Almost as if I'm having hardware issues. Like I said in the previous post, I had no problems with frames dropping when I had my old graphics card, not even once. The second I upgraded from the radeon hd 4890 to the geforce 660, I started dropping frames.

The problem is obviously related to hardware in my mind, since the second I installed my new graphics card this problem came to be.

Here's my brothers test stream log, without any frames dropped:
http://pastebin.com/8tEh9XXg <- Since this forum won't let me paste the log.. -.-

Edit: Nevermind guys. Ever since this happened I've just grown tired of my outdated system.. I just ordered myself a new computer entirely. Hopefully that will fix the problem, if not, I'll be back I guess. :)
