Question / Help Updating from Win7 to Win10

If I update from Windows 7 to Windows 10, is there a way to save all my OBS settings so it's a smooth transfer? Or will I need to re-do everything?

The settings should be fine even without a backup, but just make a copy of your %appdata%\obs-studio folder if you want to be sure

Harold, do you know much about CPU usages being abnormally high? The entire reason I'm looking to update is because for some reason, my CPU usage and temps are way higher than they should be, for every application, including OBS. For example, when I simple open OBS, it takes 12-14% of my CPU usage whereas a friend of mine with a worse CPU it only takes up 3-4% of his. Any ideas?

I'd double-check cooling setups in your system first if possible (generally not possible in a laptop)
