YouTube has officially expanded the custom thumbnail limits for desktop uploads, allowing 4K resolution (3840x2160) and file sizes up to 50MB (up from the previous 2MB limit).
However, the native YouTube Live Event Creation dialog inside OBS Studio is still restricted by the legacy validation rules (limiting thumbnails to 1920x1080px and under 2MB).
Requested Change:
Update the YouTube API integration within OBS to support the new YouTube specs:
Benefit: This would allow creators to set up their stream directly from OBS without having to go to YouTube Studio in a web browser just to upload a crisp, high-resolution thumbnail.

- Increase the thumbnail file size validation limit from 2MB to 50MB (new).
- Update the maximum thumbnail resolution support to match YouTube's new limit of 4K (3840x2160), removing the legacy resolution.
Benefit: This would allow creators to set up their stream directly from OBS without having to go to YouTube Studio in a web browser just to upload a crisp, high-resolution thumbnail.
