Question / Help Update to latest OBS but leave previous version intact? Possible?

I'm currently running OBS 20.0.1 64bit. I see there is a newer version which I'm keen to try out but I'm concerned about it breaking something in my scenes etc, and since I'm a full time streamer I don't really want to have any possible downtime. Therefore I wanted to know if it's possible to install the new version whilst leaving the older version intact, and have the scenes, settings, everything etc in the new version completely separate? Hence if I have any issues I can easily just go back to the older version and everything will be as I left it.

Make a backup copy of %appdata%\obs-studio

Updates don't break settings like that though.
