Thx for the dedication, but I prefer to get the in the official version, its not like atm it is that important, but would be a nice feature that could matter in the future. So Ill wait until its in the official version.

You may be waiting a while. Untamed hasn't posted/said anything here or on github for about 3 months now. :P

Also, thank you Wylk, for fixing and adding stuff to UNP. :D

i got the problem with the extension not saving the file, im trying to capture broadcasts from Grooveshark... is that even possible?

If it seems like the creater of this plugin has stoped working on it.

Would it be possible if someone els picked up his work and continued it under there own name and so on ?

Because its a really nice plugin, and would relaly hate if was not continued getting developed.

I have the same problem. I am on the latest official release, and have tried to uninstall/reinstall.
I have tried multiple settings configurations and several different save directories.
No file is saved to my set directory on my C: drive, even after waiting for many songs to come and go, on many of the listed supported sites.

Any help would be great.

@dToast Grooveshark only or for everything ?
Open the console (ctrl + maj + J), change the music, you should get something like :
UNP: Now Playing Success - C:\Users\*user*\unp_now_playing.txt

If not, can you copy/paste the error (if any) ?

I haven't tried groove shark, but it doesn't work for YouTube, pandora, 8tracks, plug.dj and others I have tried.
Though I don't get an error.

The extension should display an error while saving the options if there is a problem to access the directory or to write the file.
Something like :
Error: Unable to read save directory.
or
Error: Unable to write to save directory

Instead of :
Settings have been saved
Click to expand...

Also, there's maybe a conflict between the others extension... Can you disable them just for the test ? Thanks :)

No error. Fresh chrome install. Every thing looks fine in the UI.

Hum okay. So it means that, the plugin can write the file...
But for some reason the plugin doesn't start. And you say that you have a clean install of chrome.
Since I can't reproduce this bug, well... I have no clue of what's going on. For now, I don't fully understand the core of this plugin.
I wonder if I should rework the plugin since I got the main idea...
Anyway, I'll tell you if I find something !

I have made a mistake. I actually do get an error in the plugin, saying "Error: Unable to read save directory."

Oh okay. So it's a permission problem.
Untamed has left a message about that :
Chrome limits what directories can be saved to, if you run into problems, try saving to a subdirectory of your profile (C:\Users\USERNAME* or C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME*).

So now it says settings have been saved, but the file is not output.

No errors.

While I am not having any problems with the txt file being created, I do have the same issue as a lot of people have mentioned before - with youtube, the textfile updates only on the first page load and not on subsequent songs being played in a playlist.

If anyone has found a fix for that or has any idea how that could be fixed, that would be insanely helpful, seeing as untamed is nowhere to be found :)

When trying to install it I get an error saying that the appliaction cannot be added from this site.
