Question / Help unknown error(old graphic card)

Hi,

I'm new to OBS and didnt look too deep into settings, just started trying to record instead.
Sadly I keep getting some "unknown error". Did look up some threads here but mostly those
were due to missing NVENC, so I checked if my graphic card has NVENC (it doesnt), couldnt find
if it is necessary to use OBS though.

Searched the settings for obviously wrong values but couldnt find any, I'm not deep enough into it yet.
As far as I understand line 74 in the log, I am missing some update, just downloaded today and just checked for
updates though. How to fix this?

Are there other obstacles since my computer is that old? Recommendations on some low performance recording settings?

Thank you for helping out

a) check your c:\ drive isn't full to the brim
b) your hardware is extremely dated for video recording/streaming, you probably have to reduce quality so far it makes no sense to record at all. You can try FRAPS or anything else which can do low-cpu usage recording,

a) c:\ isnt even remotely close to full
b) yes it is, though FRAPS allows only 30sec recordings or a non-free version

The GTX 200 series (yours is a GTX 260) is known to be bad with OBS. You need a newer graphics card. There's nothing we can tell you to get around that.
