Unable to use more than one USB capture device

I'm new to OBS, and want to do a pretty basic setup:
ELGATO Camlink on USB (to connect a DSLR) for Video only
No Name Brand Audio Capture Device on USB for Audio only

The problem is, that I can only get one of the two to work at any given time. Which ever one I plug in first works, and the other's signal exists on the list, but won't come through.

Any advice?

Sounds like USB bandwidth overload, try different controllers / ports.

I think I may have found a solution for my set up. It's not fully tested yet, but I wanted to let you know in case it might help you too.
