Unable to stream to Twitch and OBS keeps crashing

I wasn't having any issues but the past 2 times I tried to stream, it would connect to twitch for a few seconds and then tank all the way down to 0 upload. Every time I closed OBS, when I reopened it it would tell me it crashed and did not shut down properly.

Started in Safe Mode with no issues, so I think its my multistream plugin.

I "fixed" this issue by nuking my plugins and reinstalling fresh after moving my stuff to an archive folder. I would still be interested in the technical reason everything was broken.

You need to ask the aitum multistream developer about why it caused OBS to crash.

Yeah, I figured that me be the problem. I'll just use a different multi stream plugin. Thanks for narrowing it down for me.
