Hello all!

I'm not entirely sure why but I currently have this profile setup to try and stream at 2560x1440. When I go to start it, the network notification in the bottom right consistently outputs 0 kb/s.

Here's my logfile.

https://pastebin.com/GaRkuZL5 - I tried to use code brackets but the website informed me my post has to be less than 15k or 150k characters... I don't remember.

Soon as I set it to 1920x1080, I have no problems streaming. I attempted googling this problem with no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Oh bandwidth isn't an issue atm (50mbps down, 20mbps up, using tokyo server as I'm currently stationed in Japan). I re-installed and used the same settings above and it works just fine now, for now at least. It was strange as it was jumping ALL over the place after I got it to work. But now, we're running smooth.

I feel silly for opening this now.

I'm not sure what the policy is for linking streams but you can come take a look for yourself. Twitch name is same as it is here.

I suppose I'm inclined to believe multiple people. Do you mind explaining what you mean by awful? I'm looking at the preview and it looks fine. At this point I'm just trying to learn.

When I watched earlier the output was 1440p60 but the quality was awful because you were streaming at 3500 Kbps (3500 is often barely enough to make a stream at half that resolution look decent). It's just not a high enough bitrate to make such a high resolution/FPS combo look decent and not have a ton of compression artifacts. If you thought it looked fine then don't worry about it I guess.

Edit: If you mean you were watching the OBS preview, that window is pre-encoding. It doesn't reflect your stream quality. Go watch one of your Twitch VODs.
