Question / Help Unable to save display settings - QuickSync

Hey there.

I'm really frustrated about this, I don't know what the hell to do.

I've enabled the iGPU in my BIOS and then the Quick Sync option was enabled in my OBS, okay, great.

Now in the display configuration, I've detected the display Output on my Intel HD graphics 4600 and then selected "Try to connect anyways on :VGA" . Okay.

I saved it, then I went to my main screen and then I clicked on Multiple Displays and selected : Extend desktop to this display and clicked on Apply.

But this DOESN'T work, and I don't know why. I tried reinstalling the Intel HD graphics, plugged the DVI cable on the other plug of the graphics card, doesn't work.

How do I fix this? This is the only step I can't do and I don't know why.

I'm using W10 64 bits.

Intel Core i5 4670
nVidia GTX 970

The type of setup you're attempting would only be necessary if you were running Windows 7. Windows 8 and later do not require a display/virtual display to be connected to the iGPU. As long as it's enabled in your BIOS and the drivers are installed for it, you should be good to go. Make sure your monitor(s) are all connected to your GTX 970.

Really thanks for the answer, but now, in OBS configuration, do I have to select the Intel Graphics 4600 in the video tab, or my GTX 970?

I have to select my gtx 970, right? Because if I select the Intel graphics , the OBS shows nothing, it's all black.
