Hi all,

I have 2 running projects where i'm streaming live events with FMLE and Wowza. I'm tring to move from FMLE to OBS but i'm unable to run OBS on my projects encoder. In both i get the error:
Failed to initialize video. Your GPU may not be supported or your graphics drivers need to be updated.

Project 1
Server config is the following
HP Proliant ML350P gen8V2
OS:Win 7 Pro x64
Procsor: 2X Intel Xeon E5-2609V2 (2.5Mhz 4Cores)
RAM: 48GB
Onboard Graphic card: Matrox G200 (this is for the monitor)
Encoding hardware: Osprey 845e (https://www.ospreyvideo.com/images/osprey/datasheets/Osprey_845e_datasheet.pdf)

Project 2
OS:Win 7 Pro x86
Procesor: Intel Atom D525 (1,8Mhz 4Cores)
RAM:2GB
Onboard Graphic card: Intel graphics media acelerator 3150 (this is for the monitor)
Encoding hardware:Osprey 230 https://www.ospreyvideo.com/images/osprey/datasheets/Osprey_230_datasheet.pdf
This is a small pc that only encodes audio sources, no video

I have attached log file
I need some help to found a solution to the gpu error.

Thanks in advance
Ted.

The project 2 is too old for OBS definitely.
Pretty sure the Matrox G200 is also too old.

OBS has a hard requirement for Direct3d 11 or OpenGL 3.2 HARDWARE support in the video card.

Hi Harold and thanks for your reply
Do you know if i can use some older version of OBS for project 2?

I dont need matrox card be used by obs, only want to encode with osprey card. Is there any way to exclude matrox?

If i buy some pci card to disable matrox could Work?

No you can't. The older version of OBS doesn't support opengl at all and still requires hardware direct3d 11 support.

You MIGHT be able to upgrade the video card, but the second system is definitely noticeably low-end and won't perform well even if you do get it working.

OBS doesn't have support for that osprey card's encoder either.

As a capture device it may work (If it offers proper directshow support), but any encoder that would be used from the card itself won't be supported.
