Question / Help Unable to recognize my Roxio

I got a new computer with really good specs and I have been trying to connect my Roxio as a video capture device but it wont read. At first I thought the problem was that I was using an extension, being that the cable is about 5 feet away from computer. I tested it out on my laptop and it recognized the device on the extension cable, and I was able to record well, but low quality, which is why I want to use my desktop. Whenever I try to set up my video capture device, it does not give the option for anything other than "ElGato Game Capture HD" which I have never owned nor have I attempted to add. I don't understand why it does this, nor why OBS wont recognize my capture device.

Thanks in advance!

16:16:38.536: Audio line 'Mic/Aux' audio data currently getting cut off. This could be due to a negative sync offset that's larger than the current audio buffering time.
16:16:38.561: Audio line 'Mic/Aux' audio data no longer getting cut off.

Despite your claims of having never owned an Elgato product you appear to have some of their software installed. Look for and remove leftovers, install the latest drivers from Roxio's site, and try again.
