Ive not been sure how to ask this question for a while so im just going for it and hopefully it makes sense. not sure if question is most relevant for OBS forum or elsewhere either.
I have a youtube channel and used to using record function on OBS and editing from the recorded video. Using just game capture and 2 audio tracks (desktop audio and mic)
i have recently started streaming with face cam and i am looking to edit shorts from it but not sure best way. In streaming it seems you can only have everything in 1 track. i cant seem to download vid from youtube as it crashes my editing software, another issue in and of itself, but would have same problem as if i just recorded a video alongside the stream, all video will be on one track and all audio on one track. How can i get stuff on different tracks so i can isolate different bits for editing? e.g face cam on one track and game on another.
e.g. you see shorts on youtube with facecam on top and game below, so would assume they are on different tracks to manipulate it like that....although could just be more specific tools within editing.
