Question / Help Unable to capture Starcraft

Greetings,

I'm unable to capture the game starcraft 1. Basicly the application doesn't detect the game at all. If I try to capture my whole monitor, it only shows up at the top left of the screen (1/4 of the monitor) and the colors are really terrible. If I had a new monitor capture or a new game capture, it doesn't detect the game as It being open. All other games I tried so far works fine

OBS requires games to be at least DirectX 9 for game capture to work. Monitor capture is going to get the same poor results. The best workaround is to use ChaosLaucher to play in windowed mode, and use a Window Capture.

Alternatively you could use DxWnd, I've never heard of ChaosLauncher so no idea how good it is, but DxWnd works wonders when recording older games. For some game it's simply impossible to record them without some sort of "compatibility software" like DxWnd.

Also, have you tried playing the game in its own windowed mode (using window capture)? That might work, but if it doesn't you have no other option than ChaosLauncher or DxWnd.

If you're up to pay out, look into buying a copy of DXtory. It might work, but no guarantees.
