Unable to add or remove any Video Capture Device

Over that past few weeks, OBS has been crashing every time I closed the application. I had my webcam on there originally. I tried removing the source, but it would crash. Duplicated the Scene, I was able to remove the camera. Now I can't add it at all. I got my Capture Card the other day in the mail and tried that. Nothing. It just crashes when I try to add "Video Capture Device." Won't even get past that part. Anyone have any ideas?

At the top of OBS, click Scene Collection, New.
If you can add the VCD in the new, blank SC, it may be that your old SC got corrupted somehow.

I've tried a new scene.

I've even uninstalled an re-installed.

I downloaded Twitch Studio and XSplit. Both work fine...but I don't want to use those. I like OBS, y'know?

Yes. I was suggesting basic troubleshooting steps, as you hadn't listed any.
Can you post the actual crashlog? You can find them in %appdata%\obs-studio\crashes

Understood. Sorry.

Unfortunately, there's nothing in the crash log.
It just sits there (Not Responding) and I have to force close it.

Uninstalling and reinstalling will fix if there's a problem with the program itself or any plugins installed. It will not remove any problematic Profiles, Scene Collections, or global settings though.
Go to %appdata%\obs-studio with OBS not running, and rename the Basic folder to something else (I use basic_test) and global.ini (I use global.test).

This will remove ALL settings in OBS, in case something somewhere got mangled somehow, and OBS is failing to parse its settings JSONs on the new source add. After the two renames, start OBS and try adding the VCD again.

OK,
OBS Capture.PNG
Tried it. It created new .ini and basic folder. Tried adding New VCD. Same result. :(

Huh. I'm short on ideas then, other than to suggest plugging the camera into a different USB port. If it's a problem with the drivers, they should reinstall on the new port (Windows installs a new driver for each port, yes). Not a great solution, but about all I've got.
To be clear, you can select this camera without problems in other programs like Skype/Discord/etc, right?

I thought I replied with what happened in my case. Finally figured it out.

I uninstalled XSplit. It seems it was holding my camera captive, even when the application wasn't running.
