Question / Help UI issues when streaming

When I load up OBS it seems to work as normal, however when I try to preview a steam or live stream the user interface just crashes, however the game still goes through to twitch.tv and looks more or less fine, however I can not edit any settings, can not see my frame count, audio volumes or click anything on the interface.

My PC also slows to a crawl, at first I thought this was my browser running at the same time but the issue persists without it, earlier before this issue both could run in unison with little to no problems.

It also won't close normally either, I've had to close it through task manager every time and any attempts and minimizing results in multiple windows appearing and disappearing rapidly.

I'm afraid I'm not the most computer literate, I'm using a Windows 7 64bit operating system and the device I use to stream and an Elgato Game Capture HD, also when I was able to get a log it mentioned something about a CUDA dll failing to load. That's about all I know on the issue side of things

The software has worked fine up until today, I streamed with no problems earlier, this is a very recent issue. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to solve it to get OBS running as smooth as possible again.

I will try to provide any more information that is necessary in helping me fix this.

Thank you

Does this happen only when the elgato is active?

By the way, I may not be able to respond again for a few days, so please forgive me if I don't get back right away

When the elgato is connected and I try to either live stream or preview a stream the error occurs, when inactive and the elgato is still connected, but not being used, I can use OBS perfectly fine and edit anything I need to.

Thanks for the responses so far. I'll keep providing any more info that's needed

I figured out the issue, it was something to do with the filter, I set it to bilinear, as it was before, and it's working as it usually does

Thanks for the help.
