UHD capture for UHD OBS recording.

I am learning OBS and have sucessfully made HD 1920x1080 MXF Recordings from OBS, including a HDMI to USB3 live, HD camera.

Next stop: Is it possible to make UHD 3840x2160 Recordings in OBS, including a live UHD source from the HDMI output of a UHD DSLR-type camera?

if so, is there an inexpensive HDMI-to-USB3 UHD capture & output device that is known to work well in OBS, for recordings?

I have now made a 3840x2160 Recording using NDI-Tools' Test Patterns as source. That seems to work fine. Anyone using inexpensive Ebay 4K capture devices that purport to grab and output @ UHD 30 ? or is it best to only use pro brands with OBS for recording?
