Two separate instances of complete PC Freeze (minus audio) post update

I had two full on pc freezes that required forced restarts. Both times I had audio until I restarted but the PC was completely frozen.

Nvidia drivers were not 511.xx

Only difference was the updated OBS.

I have had this exact issue happen to me five times in the past two days using OBS 27.2.0. The same thing happens - PC is completely frozen but I still have audio, need to force restart.

The only difference, it seems, is that I am in fact using the most recent Nvidia driver 511.79.

The freezes have only happened while I had OBS open and running. Four times the freeze occurred while I was streaming, one time it occurred when I was not even streaming or recording.

I have attached the log files for each instance as well and would appreciate any feedback.

I am having the same issue. I do a daily livestream on twitch and have had no issues for the last several months. I downloaded the new version of OBS and attempted to run my stream today and it completely froze within 5 minutes and then the system completely froze. I could still hear audio but everything else was frozen and stream was no longer broadcasting. I gave the system time to recover itself however I had no luck with that. I attempted to launch Task Manager, however the PC was frozen to the extent that Task Manager could not be launched. After trouble shooting for a moment hoping to find a solution to the problem, I was left with no other choice but to do a forced restart. At the time of the initial freeze and crash I was running NVIDIA drivers 497.29.

Due to the crash I decided I would attempt to update my NVIDIA drivers to 511.79 (which turned out to be a big mistake). I then tried to run my stream 2 additional times, both resulting in the same problem with the PC freezing and requiring a force restart. The second 2 times the issue happened, it happened within 1 minute of starting the stream.

At this point, I took to the discord support page and saw where 511.79 drivers were causing problems with OBS so I rolled my drivers back.

Even after all of this I am still having the same problem.

you're having the same issues too huh?
the only thing that changed for me recently was the nvidia updates, obs updates, and i made new scenes. its gotta be one of those because everything was fine before that. i thought it got fixed for me when someones suggested that my slobs sources are clashing with streamfx - so i deleted all slobs scenes. i also disconnected and reconnected my accounts on obs (i use restream.io) the stream was working fine for about 5 hours then everything froze again but i could still hear audio on my discord and game before i had to restart my pc.
