Question / Help Two pc-setup - How to setup properly

I have a two PC-setup right now.

On my gaming computer i have two monitors on a GTX780 that supports 3 displays. I have an HDMI from my graphics card HDMI OUT into my streaming PC Avermedia Live Gamer HD HDMI IN port. Display shows up but the desktop is extended to the avermedia card.

So anything i play or do with my primary monitor wont show. If i clone my primary monitor with the avermedia card, it messes up my primary monitors resolution completely and i cant change it. It all seems fuzzy even im at 1920x1080 native resolution.

Also there is no sound getting picked up in OBS even though i am using the Device sound of the card.

Edit: Seems the audio issue is caused by Avermedia not showing up under playback device, guess its not supported under Win 8.1. I have showing disabled devices as well.

I have a GTX770, I run dual monitors using the DVI ports and I have the HDMI out as a clone of my primary monitor which goes to an Avermedia U3 connected to another machine, everything is 1920x1080 and it all works perfectly. Unless you have multiple sound cards or some sort of complex setup then you need to use a software solution for the audio, I use virtual audio cable to duplicate all my desktop audio to the HDMI output, then the stream machine receives it all through the Avermedia U3. By using another VAC I can exclude Skype from the stream, too.
