Question / Help Two Computer Builds, Which for streaming, Is the extra cost worth it?

Since Ryzen release is around the corner I would rather suggest waiting, since according to leaked benchmarks they might be quite competitive especially for streaming at a really affordable pricetag.


For your currently linked Systems.
Assuming you plan on using only one System for gaming and streaming and really want to get into streaming.

The i6 6800k with its extra 2 cores /4 Threads is worth it but you could get a way cheaper Motherboard, I would also suggest using 4 Sticks of RAM with the x99 System since its supporting Quad Channel.

In general the SSD might die within 3-4 years probably investing into a Samsung simply for their warranty is worth the money.

If you really want the Case go ahead and buy it the offered space to build in is freaking amazing but you can get cheaper cases that offer great internal space.

I am basically in love with the case alpin.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Quad Channel ram, that did not cross my mind.

That is good advice, I will wait for Ryzen to see the benchmarks and the prices.

It was hard to find a much cheaper motherboard with good ratings with with the compatibility with the processor.

when it comes to x99 Motherboards then pretty much everything is decent since its already workstation grade starting at the entry level and for us simpletons streaming and gaming without crazy needs we are usually fine with anything
